hi, when i participate a lottery, do they take my money and then refund ?
i use a credit card
i cant find any money being removed from my bank account

Most of the time you’ll get a tiny authorization charge on your card to verify you used valid payment when signing up for the lottery. If you win the lottery, the card will be fully charged at that time. If you lose, the authorization charge will disappear.
so if i check my bank spending history i’m not supposed to see any payment ?
