Pokemon CD Promo's (Blowout Cards Response): Edge Wear?

This is related to the Super Energy Retrieval non holo CD promo

As some may know, I am hunting this card with ferocity. However, its very limited in 10’s and I already dealt with one case of terrible edge wear.

This one just popped up on eBay by ‘Blowout Cards’, and I figured it would be a nice clean copy. Its not. Front looks amazing.

Here is Blowout Cards response, which in me just asking whether the edges were my camera or if I could get a slightly better photo, the response seemed a little abrupt but to the point.

Just curious whether you agree or disagree. After owning plenty of these cd promos in 10’s and countless unboxings, I 100% disagree. I cannot vouch for the vending sheets or some other of the glossy promos

It’s true. A lot of the cd promos have this edge wear and still grade a 10

I bought a PSA 10 cd blastoise a few years ago and the case was cracked, so I broke it out the rest of the way. Had some edgewear on it which greatly surprised me, so I’m not shocked by this claim.

Not commenting on the validity of the claim, but the response itself was direct and to the point, nothing harsh about it though

Wrong choice of words, I have done plenty of business with them, I meant to say it was just abrupt, didn’t have much explanation as in it was a commonly accepted thing. I just haven’t seen it much.

@smpratte does your PSA 10, that you have on eBay have this edge wear?

Honestly I looked through every single card that I have that is a 10 and not one has this issue. I mean the one I am speaking about has a substantial chip on the one corner. How these were ever graded 10 blows my mind.

What’s the issue? I don’t understand. They claim that all CD promos have edgewear but you claim that you have some that don’t? Isn’t that pretty much the end of the argument since their claim was debunked?
