Looks like the items that you would have gotten from the mystery gift get automatically added into your key items after beating the Elite 4. So that is quite nice!
So if they add Ruby and Sapphire to the eShop with their events, I believe that just leaves Celebi and Jirachi as the only Pokemon we won’t be able to obtain since they are both only obtainable via the Japanese and English bonus discs for Pokemon Colosseum. Hopefully they add something into the games to obtain them.
I thought maybe they would add them as gift Pokemon in home if you complete the regional dex in each game but I believe the graphic shown in today’s Pokemon Presents showed that Pokemon in FR/LG can only be sent to Home and not the transferred back.
I hope they don’t reprint swsh and Sumcards too hard. I wish they printed same mechanic cards but with new arts/designs similar to Mimikyu delta species instead of a copy pasta with a pika stamp
