That test print Gyarados is absolutely stunning! I bet it looks amazing in hand too!

It’s a test print of a rainbow foil pattern and a cosmos foil pattern. The white opaque layer was removed to allow the foil pattern to bleed across the artwork. To save money/time on the printer, one side of the sheet was used to test the rainbow pattern and the other (inverted) side of the sheet was used to test the cosmos pattern. These most likely came from Akabane’s closet.

Indeed this. If quality match production I’m safe to say it’s authentic, same goes with the Snap and Fan Club uncut sheets. My guess regarding the Akabane multiverse is that everything he personally produced is a low quality reproduction, for example the pika trophies/Illustrator sheets or the massive waves of prototypes. He has no means to produce Media Factory replicas imo, that’s why the extra trophies theory is just a conspiracy. When I have it in hand I will test it against a regular base Gyarados to produce a final analysis. There are 3 problems with these test prints tho imo, those being:
-1996 on the label is just a guess from CGC, not confirmed at all
-why were they produced
-why they were never known until recently
