That’s really great. That sets a beauty. On a side note, I’ve tried telling everybody that nows a good time to submit cards. PSA has been a little more lenient as of late which your results indicate.
On the English cards in the same submission they were a bit harsh I think, all on the low side of what the pre grades said. But overall I’m really content!
Of course they are all saying the opposite. And they always have and always will. Check out some of the earliest internet conversations about it. Honestly, about 25 years ago you might find me complaining lol. Even 20 years ago I sent in hundreds of Japanese Birthday Pikachu’s. This is when I was getting 1000-1200 for 10s and 4000-500 for 9s. If the card had even a minuscule white dot on the back it was 100% of the time a 9 MAX.
Do you want to check me on this? Ask ebirdman about it. Him and I partnered on millions of dollars in Japanese and rare english cards for grading. We HAD to accurately pregrade cause there would be so much money at stake.
It’s not like that anymore. You’ll get 10s on cards with minor problems. Heck, just look at all the mistakes or overlooks that people here on e4 complain about daily.
You will serve yourself well, and me, to simply accept the grades PSA gives and leave the older single million serials to me;)
I have no vested interest in whether it is or isnt harder I’m simply stating that others are saying that they have become less forgiving over the last few months. I hardly grade anything anymore as I mostly buy graded cards so I cannot weigh in on the debate myself but I was just interested to hear your reasoning as to why you disagree with what seems like the current general consensus.
Yeah I know that:) I only want to make sure that new people who read this info don’t get discouraged and not send in cards or stop trying to improve their graded collections. It’s not harder now and it’s still fair.
