Thank you.
I was very excited as I learned about those post cards. The second one with a Starmie is on it’s way. If I did not overlook something, those two should cover all Starmie post card illustrations then by Keiko Fukuyama.
I didn’t even realise at first this was a Lawson one, absolutely crazy addition in your collection! I wish my guys were presented more often on Fukuyama’s post cards since they are at the absolute top of what pokemon art has to offer!
In 1999, Artbox released a sticker set that most of you are likely familiar with by now. The 1999 Artbox stickers are easily recognizable by their characteristic orange border. The Artbox Series 1 also included prismatic stickers, gold-bordered stickers, and stickers with textured images. The gold-bordered stickers are marked with a “G,” while the textured stickers are marked with an “R.” Below, you can see the “super rare” R versions of Starmie and Misty.

One of the earliest Dragalge artworks is the 2013 illustration from the Y Playing Cards deck. In my opinion, this piece showcases Dragalge in exceptional detail, surpassing the quality of many subsequent TCG card artworks. The combination of Dragalge with the matching mosaic pattern makes it visually stunning. While the back of the card doesn’t feature Dragalge itself, the depiction of Yveltal and the chosen color palette are absolutely beautiful, elevating this card to a masterpiece among Dragalge collectibles, in my view. I’m thrilled to have such a beautiful copy in my collection.

Slightly off-topic but i’ve really grown fond of yveltal in past year but i’ve only bought tcg cards of it so lovely to see any kind of non tcg items too no matter if it’s not the main star in your post
One of the first stickers in the franchise was the Retsuden Strongest Seal Hyper Sticker Collection 1 by Amada from 1996 The design is not exactly something to brag about in my opinion, but nevertheless, it is an important part of collectible history. I am a bit disappointed that the sticker only received a grade of 6, but I assume there were some surface issues in addition to the damaged corners. Nevertheless, I am quite proud of having tracked down this sticker and had it send in for grading.

Following the release of the Amada 1996 sticker set mentioned in my previous post, was the 1997 release of Amada’s Retsuden Strongest Seal Hyper Sticker Collection 2. The art style is similar, but the colors match a bit nicer.

Released in 2023 (on 06-16-23 in Japanese as Pokémon Card 151 and on 09-22-2023 as 151), this card features a variant of the classic Base Set Starmie. The background has been replaced with a coral reef, rather than the simple gradient of the original. Additionally, Starmie is facing the opposite direction.
This set also includes a reverse foil variant featuring a Master Ball pattern, which I plan to purchase sometime in the future. I think the new artwork looks really cool, though I would have preferred a non-holo variant. For my taste, the new version is a bit too far removed from the original artwork. Nevertheless, I believe they did an excellent job reviving the simple yet beloved design from 1996.
I always thought the Fusion Arts artwork was one of the coolest in terms of portraying movement. It really captures the spinning of the attack and combines it with a really cool swirl surrounding Starmie. The texture of the foiling is a bit of a double-edged sword: on one hand, it’s really unique in using vertical lines, but on the other hand, those repeating lines make the card feel a bit sterile and cold, which doesn’t necessarily support the dynamic movement of the Pokémon’s attack.
In the end, I still really love the card and will also be posting the Indonesian Promo version as soon as I got it graded.
The card was released on September 24, 2021, as part of the Fusion Arts expansion.

I could not find much information on this phone card, but happily it found its way straight into my collection.
I think it is an amazing item featuring Starmie as well as my username (sort of).

Amazing haul. So many different items. Really awesome pickups. That playmat is so gorgeous. I am sure unpacking must have been fun. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
Oh yes, nothing beats a big Buyee haul coming in! A lot of really cool items, and a good mix of Starmie and Dragalge! The Orange Islands sticker set is great and very cute
Christmas came early. Love the variety of items.

It was indeed great fun to unpack everything.
Took forever though, because I sleeved everything and took photos. But that is half of the fun, isn’t it?
I absolutely love the Orange Islands set, it is one of my all time favorite sets (and really the only one I cared for completing). I got a really good deal at Buyee and think the cards will grade well, should be 8s, 9s and probably some 10s …
Well that’s a sight! I wish i could still do orders like this from buyee, what an amazing feeling to open a box like that so many good ones like the b side label, the one with gothitelle and the fighting scene with pidgeotto
Thank you so much. But having collected most of the stuff for your guys must be a great feeling too, right? Also you can focus on the niche “niche items” as well as the high end super rare stuff.
@joponnes Or you can start on another species
Oh lord no
