I’ve heard this claim multiple times but what’s the source? Also isn’t it unusual for them to be non-holo if they are mcdonald’s promos?

Can’t help with the source, but regarding the non-Holo part: the last two French McDonald’s sets that were released in France were separated from the other languages, and contained both non-Holo and McDonald’s Holofoil cards. They also contained more cards than the other McDonald’s set: 40 - or 80 if you count both version - instead of 12.

So it’s plausible the same applies to these 25-stamped cards, since they’re in French.

Then again, these came from US-printed products, so I would assume these French cards were intended as Canadian releases, which did have the regular 12-set McDonald’s cards in French, instead of the 40-card versions. So in that regard it’s still a bit odd indeed.

These two are from the French McDonald’s 2018 set, one McDonald’s Reverse Holo and one non-Holo, both numbered 17/40.

The first two are from the French McDonald’s 2019 set, in McDonald’s Holofoil and non-Holo, numbered 20/40. And the third one on the right is from the regular McDonald’s 2019 set (numbered 6/12), for which this French version was released in the French-speaking regions of Canada and Belgium.

Those Eevolutions are pretty expensive

I really liked the set-up of the latest french-exclusive McDo set. 40 cards, every card exists in foil and non-foil. And you got a real boosterpack in your happy meal containing more than 1 card of which 1 guaranteed reverse!

Yep, I’m indeed aware since it contains a Pikachu as well. I didn’t mentioned it, because all of them are Holofoil and no non-Holos are among them, which is where PFM’s question was about. And that McDonald’s set of 2013 was exclusively released in French. No McDonald’s set was printed in any other languages (including English) for 2013. For 2018 and 2019, both a French exclusive, and regular McDonald’s set was released.

I’m pretty sure this card will be in Shining Fates. I can’t imagine there will be any other sets in 2021 that will have an SV subset that goes up to 122.

If it will be in Shining Fates, then I’m even more convinced that is going to be an amazing set.
