I’d like to better appreciate what I have, so planning to not purchase anything in October, and more mindfully go through what I already have, and enjoy it! For me, that includes not setting up a bunch of purchases for November 1st

I’d also join, although there is one ebay saved search where I’d buy the card in a heartbeat if it popped up. So can’t fully participate
2025 is kind of a “no buy” year
I actually havent bought product in a few months. Even singles if I can recall correctly. Stuff is just too oddly priced for me to justify it.

PS: For me it’s the reverse. I haven’t bought that much since Prismatic Evolutions and I’m fully preparing my wallet for a series of dangerous card-combos during October/November/December.
Don’t worry Will, my purchasing has dropped massively already. But I like the idea. Though I can’t say if I’d win if the right swirl card showed up. Otherwise, yeah. Sounds fun. I need funds for spook month related activities anyhow. I love Halloween! 
Love the idea! I think its really important to take a step back and just enjoy what you have! it can be easy to always be chasing things and notice and appreciate what you already have! I would join yah but Im trying to get my hands on a 4th print zard but once I do I will also stop buying for a while and just enjoy what I own

Since I made a big purchase I couldn’t let pass in late August (I’ll post it in the Recently Purchased thread once it has safely reached my US middleman), and my bank account is completely drained because of it, this September will be my first no-buy month in literally over a decade 
(and yes, I’ve ‘only’ been collecting Pokémon for about ten years instead of a full decade, but prior to that I was buying twisty puzzles and Yu-Gi-oh cards multiple times a month). And I’ll likely join you for the subsequent October as well..

The idea of being more intentional about appreciating what you have is a great idea though, and admittedly is something I don’t practice as much as I would like to say I do. I think setting up some sort of visual display of my favorite collection items would be a great way to start that process!
I’ve been on a “No Buy, Full Sell” since June 2025 utilizing Z&G, eBay, Conventions, and TCGPlayer.
My purchases since June 08 2025: $31,411.77
My sold since June 08 2025: $229,748.41
A whopping 13.7% makes up how much I have purchased compared to sold.
Besides being tired of things 4x over night of a new release or YouTube speculation on different cards, I have had people contact me through IG and other platforms criticizing me about selling in such a market and how the demand is way to strong for the market to fall…
I can have this lengthy explanation about the market and how ATH’s aren’t the time to buy and when everyone is bullish, you should be bearing, and blah blah blah, but I like for the actions and numbers to speak for themselves…
Great idea, I will partially join starting mid-September until the release of Legends Z-A in mid October, so roughly a month. It will be good to take a break from browsing ebay for singles and spend that time instead taking a closer look at cards in my binders, preferably with a warm drink on a rainy day.
