New Type of Vstar Universe box?

Just bought some boxes from a distributor in Japan, however the bottom of the box looks different than any other Vstar Universe boxes I’ve had or see online.

These boxes are completely one piece/flat on the bottom, whereas usually it looks like the second photo here: Your Vstar Universe Box Isn’t Re-Sealed

Anyone have similar experiences?

That should be the pull tab variant box style. If you look on the front there should be a little pull strip in order to open the box.

ah yeah there is - ive seen updates on that but didn’t know if the bottom also changed.

I had this same question and was given an excellent answer by @jonbo

Most of the printings of Vstar Universe didn’t have those pull tabs, but more recent printings do. At some point they started adding them to all boxes but I think it was in the middle of Vstar Universe’s print runs.
