That little tiny label has ā€œPSAā€ printed on it about a dozen times lol. Overkill???

Just a bit annoying really, do not think the case they were using had any counterfeit flaws,

Just a cosmetic change which is just annoying as now all my collections and cards for sale are ā€˜out of date’,

Do not see any pressing need too change the case,

Are you fcuking kidding me? I’ve spent so much money getting my PSA cards into the new cases be it from an old case or a damaged one. Now they change it again…

Do we know the exact date these will take effect from, or is it as of now?

You haven’t seen overkill until you make the mistake of zooming in on the 9 and…I believe I’m scarred for life…

Open if you DARE! NSFW! 18+ Only!

The video does a good job highlighting the security benefits. The term ā€œlighthouseā€ comes off a bit corporate, but the security measures are a nice improvement.

Love the new label and security features, hate that I will have to send in all my current ones to be re-slabbed.

This is just getting annoying now, I have so many different styled PSA labels now =/

For those with OCD and wanting update their old cases.

Start getting therapy now. I bet you other changes are down the road.

what really triggers me to the highest level is that the label goes over the red border

I know many collectors are picky about continuity in their collections - what are you thought on yet another update from PSA? I swear it wasn’t that long ago that the hologram was added to labels, now another change:

As someone who’s only gotten into the hobby somewhat recently I’m personally not too hurt by this change. I will say though that if I was a longstanding member of the community for a large number of years with a hefty stock of cards then it would get to me and I would consider resubmitting everything for the new case if it wasn’t so expensive.

I actually love the new label in comparison to the previous one though and think it’s more appealing. I’d be interested to see what outsiders of the hobby would think of the labels compared to one another and which is most aesthetically pleasing (as for people looking to get into the hobby may very will be more interested if the labels are nicer tbh). I don’t know how others feel about the PSA label in comparison to other grading service providers (obviously people go with PSA for the credibility and so on, not the label) but I do like the BGS label more for 9+ grades.

To keep to your topic though, I think that this does pose a problem for continuity of a number of collections for people who are struck by the difference but I suppose it would have been changed eventually, if not now then in the eventual future. I would just remain hopeful that they don’t change it once again within the next year or two like they have with this (I’m not certain of the time between changes here but I’m fairly sure it’s at most a couple of years).

I am really looking forward to the addition of those security features. With the hobby growing the way it has been and with all these cards reaching new highs in prices, we need these features. I see it as an extra step to protect us.

On reflection I don’t think it’s the worst thing in the world. I’m not too worried about them all matching with this update compared to the last one, where I think the contrast between the old case with no PSA holo in the middle to the current one is quite big. The old ones don’t look appealing at all in comparison, but with the current and proposed one, I think they’ll both look nice and a mix of them wont hinder the look of any set that I own in my eyes.

I wont be reslabbing anything.

I wouldnt risk sending all those cards all the way to america… IDe die

IF i did it, it would be 1 at a time, and even then… Thinking about what could happen in that process.

IF I get old 1st ed shadowless cards in the certs as far back as like 173 ect… Ide leave em how is aswell.

I just couldnt see myself reslabbing anything unless the case had bad and significant damage/scratching to hell… I rememeber when I did have problems with scratches on the case and that didnt work out well… I sent my 1st ed shadowless zard to get re slabbed and that was a nightmare…

PSA actually posted the card when they reslabbed it xD

WHY CHARIZARD WHY DID I HAVE TO BE OCD AND NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR CONDITION YOU BARSTRED … Its all your fault charizard… But we will soon be reuniterb and many play times will be a ting.

Sorry admin. Didn’t see the other post. @festa you might want to share your great reply to the other thread where it will be read!

You got a point there. I can see that.
I can see the next big trend…a collection with the same card in the same grade in every style case lol.
