Hey all,
I stumbled upon a neat little t-shirt company that sells Pokémon/Yugioh/Cool gamer stuff. Something I found really interesting is that if you purchase a Pokémon T-shirt from these guys they include a “proof of authenticity” card with your order. It looks like they just painted over another Pokémon card with their design and then put it in a graded card case (except they don’t weld it so it’s just kind of loose).
While I’m not a fan of altered anything, I am a fan of art. And I really like the designs that they have. So i bought a few T-shirts and wanted to share my “cards”. Now, if anybody knows anyone with an ultrasonic welder that would be great…
Enjoy!

For me this hits that sweet spot right between cool and cringe

Cool for the artwork, cringe for the attempt to slab these.
That said, I quite like the shirts.

To be honest Mewtwo and Rayquaza are pretty cool, I kinda like that “acid graphics” style
Looks cool as hell, totally worth the copyright infringement lawsuit.

Nothing stands out as being painted over a Pokemon card to me, is the back a regular Pokemon back? How can you tell it’s not just a piece of card stock?
The back appears to be a standard card. The instagram/website shows a video of front and back.

Yes, it’s clear that it’s just a standard Pokemon back.
