I was just going to use this as an anecdote too. haha. I always thought, it’s just a naked person. You see this all the time on TV in Spain. And alcohol for minors. NBD. American puritanicalism. haha. It’s ok. It’s fine. Just a funny convergence of different (but acceptable) cultural views. Also, PS, Your mom was awesome!

What I meant was that cultures in one place have different values than others, so Spain’s culture is/was OK with naked forms, while many people in the US are not. (And that can also change as the culture’s values and laws change.)
Jace wakes up every morning and hits the eBay search function, ‘naked misty’ daily, while pretending to amp moonbreon, is secretly collecting as many naked Misty’s as possible.

Ah yes since everyone on this site is the entire market and speaks for everyone. Imagine being so into your own opinions that you cant consider what anyone else has to say.
And its funny how dumb people think I am just for not agreeing that old commons shouldnt be worth as much as they should. Yes yes I get the people that are say “derr they are old and not really common!!!” Im fully aware of how attrition of old cards works and how old product rarties dont technically matter overtime, but commons (non foils), especially ones also printed in starter decks, shouldnt be worth as much as they should. And I even get the argument about there being a foil in every pack (honestly never actually seen someone open old japanese packs), but still mathematically your going to get way more commons in a 60 card box than any foil even if your getting a playset of every foil.
But god forbid I use just basic fundamentals and math, scary I know. My bad for not using my feelers like everyone does to come to conclusions.
Naked misty was selling before this site existed.

Maybe another angle is to look at the values of Base set Pikachu and the 3 starters - they are worth more than the other commons.
They are not rare in any aspect but will all sell much higher than the other commons in that set because people want them. Naked Misty is a unique common, again not rare, but just has very high demand because it’s got an interesting history.

Not really my main concern. I agree with you that Misty’s Favor has some value, I dont know why I have to repeat that so many times. Just the value that its at along with other banned cards is out of proportion with basic fundamentals. Im aware too that covid has messed up fundamentals but I dont look at the current situation but rather it on a basic level.
Ah yes the whole “Shut up and dribble mentality”. Dont ever question anything on the internet. Just consume, be happy and do as what your told.
Not to mention that I have said 101 times, Im saying the cards are overhyped and overpriced. What about that do you not comprehend?
