I am working on BW-P next. That is my goal for the atleast till the next year end. I need that token from @fourthstartcg for all lottery promos.
Technically I have finished DPt-P as well because the only cards I am missing are the ones I would probably never get. Besides the Darkrai and Cresselia the also included the Wonder Platinum in it for no reason. So I cannot get those 3.
For the L-P I am missing the big ones in the Eeveelutions and Raichu. Maybe Raichu is obtainable but not the Eeveelutions.
XY-P will be a lifetime goal. And also probably where I will also put a stop and won’t go any further. I mean the Pikachu promos are boyond comprehension at the moment.
However, completing these 3 mainline sets was fun and a solid 8 years. Seems like a lifetime in the hobby but also seems like yesterday.

With the purchase of a PSA8 PFL MUR Charizard (that has been promptly cracked), the PFL master set is now finished. I wasn’t planning on doing Perfect Order, but seeing the prices and availability, I’ll be master setting it and skipping Chaos Rising instead.

Page 1 consists of 9 different Arita Base Set variations. I have the no rarity on the way from Japan so will just need the Legendary Reverse to complete that one:
Page 3 is a pipe dream. Only 1 card so far. When I designed it back in 2019, it was a big stretch even then. If I ever do manage to complete it I will probably get low to mid grades for 2-3 of the cards and leave them slabbed. I do at least have 2 of the Shinings and a Web in 9s…

One of my collecting goals this year is to kick off my Magikarp-Gyarados collection. I specifically want to collect them where they illustrated by the same artist within the same set as narrative illustration just like here.
Last year during my vacation, my twin kicked off this collection by giving me the cards from 151 set, while also picking up a few for their own 151 collection. Also during my vacation, I found a Gyarados collector who was selling their extra copies, so I picked up the EX Dragon and Dragons Exalted cards. (Though to this day, I still regret not buying their Lance’s Gyarados, EX Holon Phantoms, and others before they sold out, haha.)
The card that complete this page is the Magikarp from EX Dragon by Kouki Saitou. On the next page, I placed the cards from the 151 set, also by Kouki Saitou. I like how Saitou draws the Magikarps swimming in the current during the day, while the Gyarados (are supposedly) on the higher ground based on the scenery and it’s already nighttime (based on darker sky).
And Mizue draws the Magikarp-Gyarados with the same background, but the Gyarados card is shown from a higher perspective.
Overall, love these cards and they just simply made my mandatory work-from-office day better with additional cards for this collection and my Mudkip collection, haha.
