Does anyone know if this test Mewtwo was printed? And if yes, any idea where I can find it?
Amazing piece of investigation ! Thanks !

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it is unlikely that you’ll ever own a test print card like this unless you are incredibly wealthy and well-connected. Some of the test prints graded by CGC have never made a public appearance in auction.
For example, the March Playtest Mewtwo (1996) Mounted on Card has a pop of 1.
Edit: I don’t believe that the CoroCoro test prints have been graded or auctioned.
If you look at Shizzle’s post, you’ll see images of printed prototypes belonging to Takumi Akabane.
Note there are different prototype versions in Akabane’s IG posts but I don’t believe I saw the corocoro version prototypes there. Completely plausible though
edit: Charizard corocoro prototype version does exist. Mewtwo might be out there, maybe in a cave…
In between Akabane’s ballsack
…wishful and (in my opinion) infinitely unlikely!
What if the test/prototype card art is used or shown off to celebrate the 30th Anniversary as an exhibition to show the development of the TCG? Maybe housed at the Pokémon Centre in Japan or a nearby pop-up area, every complete set is shown in Japanese and other languages used over the years. Providing a rich history of the TCG and general developments over time and then relating somewhat to the Scarlet & Violet Paradox Pokémon, at the end of the exhibition, there is an inspiration or suggestion box for what hobbyists/collectors would like to see next Generation as we progress from the old to modern times. You could say the early days of Pokémon TCG are not too dissimilar from the ancient Paradox Pokémon as they are described as not being well known or understood…and in my opinion, much like the early days of the TCG, there is relatively limited information presently known/shared to the public.
Is this card rare? I have one in my collection
Well that took an unexpected twist, unless im a fool and misread something. Congrats @Gicsilaer you are possibly the envy of most collectors here, if they are legitimate cards. Would you happen to have photos of the backs and a list or photo of all of them? Im sure there will be many questions to verify authenticity.
I would also like to remind you that if they are legitimate then please take very careful care of them and make sure they are all sleeved with protection.
Put them in sleeves from an old binder that said ‘media factory’ not sure what that is. They were sticky to the pages from so long ago, had to be very careful. I have the whole set.
This is an unexpected turn of events hahaha. Any chance to see more photos?
Can you post photos of the whole set? Im sure youve read the information about them (if you havent then you should) but I dont think every card was clearly revealed so Id love to see more of it.
Naturally, I’m extraordinarily skeptical of the story and the legitimacy
Can you show more images?

Did not expect them to perform. Would be pretty cool if this is real/true!
Fefu, what’s your budget? Someone reached out to me recently with prototype cards for sale but they were really expensive. They might have Mewtwo though or access to it. Also you could try talking to Akabane directly.
I don’t have a budget in mind. My first goal was to find out if Mewtwo’s one exists. Then, I wanted to get a range of how much it could cost and who had it. After that, my plan (if it’s achievable) was to move some investments and to try to get it.
How can I talk to Akabane Directly? I saw a lot of people mentioning his Instagram, but I never found the account.
Classic baiting
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Here is one that has something crossed out. Can anyone read it?
What’s the Mew and Lapras look like?
Nobody is saying it, so I will.
If these are authentic, you’ve just stumbled upon a fortune. The whole set would likely sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars or more.
That is a BIG if. You should get them authenticated as soon as possible.
