Many of the Pokemon playtest cards were likely printed in 2024

even if they decide to grade these in the future (which the def wont) u need the matrix that represents the serial of the printer i believe, which the op never made public

They have a python tool I was hoping to try.

Yes HQ have dots on the back. Can anyone decode them? It would be really important

Yes! I tried yesterday but only with one card so worth it to try again!

Vibrance 100

(not an expert but) You would almost certainly need the actual hardware as you would not only need to edit the software but also the firmware of the specific device itself. Some obscure printer hardware & firmware from the 90s even being available to be emulated is unlikely. Not to mention the extra scrutiny that any prospective buyer would give to seeing any of these pop up in the future claiming to be legit.

Honestly it would massively help to have a comprehensive list of everyone involved in distributing these. Not only the JP site but especially the US & international site. To me it’s a dark hole and I really don’t want to do business with any of these people in the future.

Just to reconfirm what has been said earlier.

It is possible that some sheets existed of the front of the cards and were cut. Backs were created in order to finish the cards. This may result in the front of the card not having any dots but the back part might be dotted.

These are just thoughts…

None of these here showcase the blue artwork though correct? If we are trying to see when that artwork was made those corocoro pages don’t apply here.

You will have to get a closer or higher res photos. I also recommend finding the brightest source of light to help highlight the dots.

It’s an intresting view but i don’t think it’s the case. Why all the HQ ones would have glue/smudge problems? The one i have is even slightly detauched, so probably it’s not freshly glued like all other super minty 2024 copies.

So i don’t think these cards have been recently crafted.
We should check the back of LQ and HQ to see if they share the same dots, but im skeptical

still doing tests but right now I recommend not buying these due to some inconsistencies I am seeing

There are some dots but too few to use the dot decoder.

When I see the three dots like a triangle it reminds be of the alpha playtest dot pattern. Cannot make anything out of this myself though. Due to there only being a few dots present, could these rather be defects than the dots? Other possibility is printing issues or the way it was scanned etc.
