M6 Storm Emeralda (July 31, 2026)

Correct me if I’m wrong but that still requires a Japanese phone number and address right?

PCJ recently implemented a new verification method (My number card), which is like using a national ID for residents in Japan. So now PCJ has 2 lottery applications, one for folks who have completed this new verification and one for unverified applicants. The winning ratio for the verified applicants is much much higher compared to the unverified applicants.

However, even to be able to apply as an unverified applicant, the phone number still needs to be registered and verified by PCJ. So yes, at the minimum, phone verification needs to be completed.

You can read more about the new verification method here:

Cheers!

According to a JP Twitter post, there is a caveat which someone here from Japan might be able to confirm

  • Those with a PCO purchase history of Inferno X will be not be eligible for the lottery (verified or unverified)
  • Those with a PCO purchase history of Storm Emeralda will not be eligible for the lottery (unverified)

[Highlighted, Google Translate] Previously, Pokémon Center Online sold the Pokémon Trading Card Game MEGA Expansion Pack Inferno X box.
Customers who have purchased this item will be disqualified from the lottery for the same product.

If confirmed, it seems they’re maximising distribution toward other PCO members who have missed out
