Curious why they chose a non-mega as an SAR in a mega set, especially when the past/only 5 SAR’s were all megas…
2021’s VMAX era special arts weren’t all VMAX, 2022’s VSTAR year wasn’t all VSTAR special art, 2023’s Tera year wasn’t all Tera special art, and so on. It’s probably part of the tcg design that regular ex shouldn’t be left out

I was going to say the opposite but the same. They probably know. They also probably made sure the artist stayed as close to on model as possible. On model Mega Lopunny looks strange because of the bulbous midsection that regular Lopunny doesn’t. Although that plagues a lot of Pokémon, probably so they aren’t “too cool”. If they wanted to appeal to the degens then there’d be some off model and ripped stocking shenanigans.

I absolutely love Yuu Nishida’s work, so it’s great to see the Dawn full art get a stunning piece of art! The SAR Dawn is also absolutely beautiful and I will be acquiring approximately 7000 of them.
The Piplup art rare is so cute, and the bright yellow of the flowers brings out its beak. This truly is a set of my dreams, and I’m so excited for release.

Ugh, rend is so hit and miss, and a huge miss for me was the AR furret and now this wigglytuff, both could have been great and cuter in different styles

This is just amazing. Love most of the things shown here, many cool pokemon. And it even has another Kanda art.
In fact…may be this will be the first set I will Master Set sinse Silver Tempest. I didn’t care about anything s/v in terms of completion but this… And the set itself is not that big either. After a long rest, I will be ripping packs left and right. I feel that excitement i had during the sword-shield era again! 
That char card gives me huge Silver Tempest Lugia vibes!
