Love you too snow....

I finally get a notification saying my psa sub will be delivered today, so I get super excited. Then an hour later I get a delivery failed notification… because there was 2 fkn inches of snow on my driveway so they ‘could not access the delivery location’ give me a fkn break… as if the months and months aren’t enough waiting.

That’s pathetic…

Over here, drivers may give a similar notification when there is 2 meters of snow, and even then I doubt they would.

Why is that?

Me?

Norwegian climate. -15 celsius and constant snow for months. Drivers here have to work with the snow. Parking at the beginning of the driveway, calling the recipient, having them use the snow blower for a few minutes to make a path through the driveway or wade through it to get to the car if it’s not to deep. Often the recipient deserves to hear a thing or two for not shoveling beforehand, but it can’t always be helped.

Getting cancelled on because of two inches? I sympathize with that. Any driver doing that over here would have a short career.

the usps is given sub par vehicles that frankly are outdated and poorly designed to handle the inclimate North East weather, they spend a lot maintaining older vehicles instead of contracting for better equipped awd vehicles. I’ll get over it I was just venting a first world problem haha. I feel for them as they deal with hundreds of instances a day with poor conditions.
