Logan Paul & Coro Coros

I didn’t want to post this. But as it unfortunately affects the market, here you go!

Did you ever wonder where your coro coros have been going?

Notice how this is coming out as soon as the market even has a hint of a slowdown

I don’t think Logan is sweating it out to keep up with every micro trend of the market. This video has been in the works for awhile. He messaged me and a few other E4 members about Coro info months ago.

I watched the video and thought it was really well made. You can think whatever you want about Logan Paul, but I have zero issues with a video like this. I would sooner place blame of market manipulations/trends on the people selling him all these sealed product and PSA 10 coros. Throughout the video, I felt that he was being thrown insane numbers. Obviously, he chose to accept them, but I think it’s a situation of him having the money to not care too much.

I agree. He mentioned somewhere in the video he was working on learning about the CoroCoro history and working on this PSA-10 set since roughly the start of this year. And if he wants to peel his 400k unpeeled Pikachu/Jigglypuff pair at his July 30th ‘whatever-party-it-was’, which likely has been planned at least a couple weeks or months in advance, I guess it makes sense to release this video a week before.

Then again, I do think both John’s and Logan’s videos are also to increase the value of old Japanese CoroCoro promos, even though they have already been increasing quite a bit in the past 1.5 years, so that isn’t exactly a recent thing.
I’m still looking for the ‘marketing’ Ivy Pikachu promo with shifted artwork myself (hopefully with a bit of luck for less than 400k :joy: ), so in my saved searches of Ivy Pikachu I’ve seen the prices of even PSA-1 to 5 copies rapidly increasing in the past few years.

Btw, I’m not too well-versed into all CoroCoro releases, but both of those videos mentioned ‘pre-production’ unpeeled sheets (aka, unperforated ones, that were loose and not attached in the inside of CoroCoro magazines). Before these videos, I wasn’t even aware those were a thing, so I guess I can even learn a thing or two from a Logan Paul video. Anyone has any info about the origins of those unpeeled sheets?
Since Logan bought both the Pikachu/Jigglypuff pair and lilypad Mew from @prochaos (congrats on the 300k and graded Godzilla, btw), I assume you might know a bit more about their origin? I always love learning new things about Pokémon.

The video really doesn’t feel like a pump and dump. TBH I’m not a Logan Paul fan but the research and information alone in this video is an asset to the community. I’m sure 90% of the community here would make a similar video if we had the means to do so lol, I think it’s really cool and well made!

I’m not big on Logan, but the video was put together quite well, with a lot of interesting tidbits. And him getting demolished on grading that first peel, was like watching a beautiful train wreck happen.

Im not really a fan of the editing style personally in the video (seems too dramatic and over the top for me), but Im glad Logan and other people are having fun.

Agree, I think the video was wonderful. The CoroCoro promos have always had a special place in my heart, all the way back to when I was a kid getting them at Kinokuniya bookstores and peeling off the promos starting with the Giovanni’s Nidoking for me.
