04/18/25 Update!
Some updated photos, new variations, and random info. Ramble Time!
I was recently able to aquire a W Stamp Filler Card. Guide has been updated with the scan and a little more information regarding origin.
I believe all copies of this style have originated from WOTC employees. Of the couple I know of floating around, either the stories have linked back to WOTC employees, or the card was shared anonymously leading me to believe they were the employee and wanting to avoid the attention.
I have graded my copies of the WOTC 3 Border and the ex Era International Release. No new information on these cards, just updated the photos to scans.
A new language variation of the “This card… left blank…” has been confirmed. It is an Italian version with the Normal Back. Owned by fuji_dex who provided these photos.
This is a fun one. A new variation of the “BLANK” Yellow Border was found. Rather than having the standard back, the back has a Silver Border also with “BLANK” written on it.
When I first wrote this article, I commented on the WOTC 1 Border having a slight bump upwards where the side borders would go if the card had them. After talking with a couple other error collectors after posting the guide, we learned there is a version without those bumps. As well as a version of the WOTC 2 border with a bump. From what I have personally seen, all WOTC 3 Borders have no bump.
I have aquired the versions I was missing and have updated the guide with these 2 new versions. I need to get in touch with CGC and see if this is a variation they will identify.
Thanks for taking the time to listen to me yap about cards with no art.
