Love it!
Also liking it! Except the lose money part.
Too bad the heavy hitters were only PSA 9 though.
Team Rocket, at least 1st ed, is 9s all day every day.
I’m considering regrading the charizard someday… It has no whitening,o scratches, and good centering. Dark Raichu is a heavy hitter $300-$400 lol.
Next up = Skyridge
Would need better pictures (though these are not bad! not saying that) to really see why they’re 9’s, but is it because of the centering?
I noticed at least that in my own submissions I underestimated the importance of centering, mine weren’t booster pulled though, but it has lead to some surprising high grades (and 10’s) because of good centering and just one or two lower grades because I completely missed the centering at first. Well not completely, but I didn’t pay extra attention to it, of course I’d notice if it was off-cut
just noticed you’re from Riverside.
Do you go to any leagues or have any card stores you’d recommend?
Here’s my blog btw: streetsofriverside.tumblr.com/
The blastoise and dragonite definitely got 9s because of centering. I submitted two identical golbats, one got a 10 and the other a 9. I agree with all the grades they recieved except the charizard like I said. That is one of the most flawless graded cards I own
I actually almost picked up a 1st ed. Gym Challenge box for $820 this week but felt like my wallet was already about ready to melt.
Sorry I don’t play the game. Also I’ve only been here a while now. I moved here from WI to do my Ph.D. I should support card shops, but I personally can’t rationalize paying the sort of prices they ask.
The grader saw something that knocked it down to a 9. You see, every card is a 10 when they pick the card up. Then if the grader sees something he deems bad enough to affect the grade he’ll dock it. So he most certainly saw something;)
Hey, @pokeaddict84 ! I’ve DM you
Congratulations on that dark raichu though! One sexy card

In my experience with pack fresh WOTC product, foil scratching, be it print lines or actual scratching, silvering edges on the front, and white factory corner dots on the back are mostly to blame. I think centering is pretty good most of the time on Team Rocket. Only on certain sets do I regularly notice centering that would fall outside the given parameters for a 10.
atleast the best holo cards got 10s and those worthless blastoise, charizard etc got a 9.Psa are so biased! its really unfair giving 10s to the best and 9s to the worthless cards.
Gratsss, that weezing psa 10 though…wow man! by far my favourite holo in rocket…closely followed by the trainers
