Jacob's Gengar - Collection - UPDATED 5/5/14 UNBOXING

Those are super sweet! So I’m trying to get more and more educated on the various japanese promos. I’ve started collecting some. I thought Masaki was the name of the Japanese pokemon artist. What would these cards technically be called? Thanks

Theses are promos from the ‘Communication Evolution Campaign’. So that would be the official name I guess.

Masaki is actually the Japsnese name for Bill. In order to obtain theses cards you had to send a 1 of 5 stage 1 pokemon along with a Masaki’s (Bill’s) PC so I’m pretty sure that’s where they get their nickname from.

When purchasing online from Japanese sources they are always referred to as ‘Communication Evolution campaign’ promos.

Hope that helps

Are all the CoroCoro cards printed on glossy cardstock?

I believe every standard size corocoro card was printed on glossy card stock, but I could be mistaken. At very least the grand majority are.

I’m going to check them when I get home. Hmm but I think shining mew wasn’t glossy. But glossy sounds almost right I’ll double check my collection tonight.

Ok sweet I appreciate it!

All corocoro are glossy up to shining mew… not sure about the shining mew. but for sure everything before that is glossy.

Ya I can’t tell if my Shining Mew’s are glossy or not  But their sure gorgeous!

So you’re saying cards after shining mew might be normal cardstock then? Thanks for your response!

I don’t know… I only collect coro coro promos with the old japanese back… none with the new. Shiny mew is also glossy stock, but it’s a foil glossy stock. Just checked it.

Just browsed thru my collection, also you should collect the GB promos.

Also, adding on… Anything Hamada’s yadoking and after has the inscription corocoro and other things in japanese on the bottom right corner.

Sweet thanks for the info. Where do you find this? I’ve just been reading bublapedia :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you sure the imakuni trainer card is part of the vending set? Bulbapedia shows it as a CoroCoro promo and I couldn’t find it on their Vending Set page.

I’m missing 2 cards from that page so the pikachu and imakuni are showing from the page below which is the first page of my Coro Coro cards

Oh haha! My bad that’s hilarious I totally see it now but didn’t before! I was just concerned that maybe my vending series was missing one! Although I am missing Bill’s PC if anyone knows where to get one.

Bill PC is in the Vending Series 3 Sheet #16 and Sheet #17 … not worth that much
