I’m also sharing the holos that I currently have from the Kalos Starter Set. I took pictures with and without flash because the holo can be tricky to spot in some of them.

Also, have this sheen holo Pikachu as a little bonus. It’s not from the Starter Set, it’s actually from XY, but I have no idea where it comes from and how you would be able to find it back in the day. But as far as I know, this sheen holo variant is an Italian exclusive.

The only other holo card from the Starter Set that I know for sure to exist is Chespin, and I’m actively looking for it, so if anybody has it and is willing to sell it, please send me a message!

I got it in my collection.
Not sure how they were released, though. I know it was around mid-2014, but that’s about it. Those Italian holo XY Pikachu cards are pretty rare.
It took me a few years to find at the time, and I know most other all-language Pikachu collectors (@mdlsoares and @justinator) had trouble finding their copies as well, iirc.

I have been lurking on this thread for a while, and I finally made an account to see if anyone was selling any of the Bug Pokemon mirror holos (such as Ninjask, Durant, Silcoon, Cascoon, or that kalos starter set Weedle) because I am now cursed with knowledge that they exist, and my collection will be incomplete unless I can get my hands on them somehow.
Any help on obtaining these cards or guidance of where to look (like vinted?) would be greatly appreciated.
The biggest bet you have is looking through italian marketplaces or just buying a lot of copies and hoping to find it.
Sadly the problem about this is that 100% of the sellers don’t know what they are selling

how were these released in the kalos starter set, was it one random sheen holo per deck?
Yeah, I think there should be a video linked on the very first post of the thread showing that there’s a single random sheen holo in each pack, but I don’t remember whether it’s about the Dragons Exalted set or the Kalos Starter Set. But I think it worked the same way for both expansions.
