When I was a kid, me and my sister used to watch my grandad play Pokémon. One day he was playing Emerald, and he comes accross a Poliwag whilst surfing. He looks at it and says, “I’m going to wag it’s Poli”. To 10 year old me, that was the funniest thing I’d ever heard. Always liked the Poliwag line after that.

Always Loved NIDOKING even though he never gets much love anymore in any recent sets and was never the greatest Pokemon in the games. Still my favorite though. Everyone can’t be a Charizard guy
lol.

I like oddish alot.
Likely won’t ever get an alt art oddish card anytime in the future but I think it’d be really cool if they focused on lesser known / not the 3rd pkmn in an evolution line for the more rare hits

The Ampharos Evo line, Vileplume, the Cinderace Evo line, mawile & sableye.
I’ve recently started a mareep/flaaffy and Ampharos binder. 136 cards before promos and Japanese exclusives which I’ll add to the list later

Always had a soft spot for Octillery, which I feel like is not that popular of a Pokémon(?).
My first encounter of him was through this card and besides loving the artwork the move ‘‘Octazooka’’ was what really caught my eye as a kid. Since I was a huge fan of cliché action-movies back then I thought this move was the pinnacle of pokemon-moves (which I still think to this day).
Also love the fact that the evolution-line is on some Digimon kind of level where a fish becomes an octopuss, with not even the same colour as its pre-form (insert Jessie from Breaking Bad saying ‘‘YEA SCIENCE BITCH’’).
