Hopefully no one! Crazy prices
In this particular instance it might be better to buy a few boxes to rip instead of getting the bird in the hand lol
yeah i guess. you have somewhere between a 1:25 to 1:50 box chance to pull it which i guess isn’t too bad
holy moly. those prices

when will the bubble burst?

2025? Final year of Scarlet & Violet? the year before 30th Anniversary?

yeah right before the 30th anniversary. everyone will be burned out from the 50 special arts per set thing, but pokemon will announce a new product that reprints base set and everyone will come back

So i was having a Debate with another Raichu collector about the art
on whether Raichu is levitating or is he on the actual bed.
I think he is levitating in this art and that’s why he looks so big because he is closer up in the art and also i dont see him leaving any marks on the bed from being on it. what you guys think?

The story I like to interpret from this is that Raichu is dreaming of being its Alolan form, “By collecting its psychic power in its tail, it is able to ride it like a surfboard and float in the air. (Bulbapedia)”

yeah that’s definitely a cool way to look at it
. with me I was thinking that what is happening maybe has to do something with a weird representation of Electrostatic levitation

The shadow of the curtain (and the general angle of the shadow, looking at other objects in the room) seems to kind of line up with being on the bed.
Another interpretation may be that he’s floating and is able to do so because what we’re actually seeing is what’s in his dream!

the shadow thing is a good point. i still think that because of the size of everything in the room like the Bed, Table, chairs, newspaper, mail and all that looking so small in comparison to Raichu that he most be high up on the art. But I am more confused now than ever

Interestingly there’s no shadow under its tail or left ear where the light has shone over, which led me to believe it’s not in contact with the bed

I had noticed that too (I think we’re all looking at this illustration with too much intent
) and chalked it up to Raichu letting off a bit of illumination around him that eliminates some of those shadows of him laying down (he has this glow/aura around him).
But, like @nanp90 pointed out, his size versus the other items is pretty large… I was only looking at him vs the bed before, which still makes him look large, but might still be within reason.
Maybe he is floating? Now I’m confused too

Maybe it’s just a big fat raichu taking a nap

I mean the illustrator Toshinao Aoki did illustrate the old Surfing and Flying Pikachu cards
so maybe he could have wanted to find a way to make Raichu Float like Pikachu. in the End someone needs to ask the illustrator. But for me I still think he is levitating in the art but I could be wrong.
