I came across some really expensive card sleeves on the local Facebook group. Bit shocked to see this selling for $20 PER sleeve on eBay, and over $100-200 for a full set. Does anyone have anymore information regarding the release of these sleeves?

If memory serves right, this sleeve set was released in Japan together with the launch of Awakened Heroes and Ultradimensional Beasts (equivalent to our english Crimson Invasion).
It was given for free when you bought 2 booster boxes, it was the first time they gave out freebie sleeves with booster boxes, at a time when Japanese print runs weren’t as massive as they are now, and it was given out alongside the weakest set in the sun & moon block.
It being a “bae” sleeve with amazing art only makes things worse, hence the absurd price tag.
@chiefmacky, thanks for the info! I originally thought it was some sort of rare sleeve awarded at tournaments to top players. I’m in Asia, and it seems lot of the current players are willing to pay that price tag.
