Sure, it’s not as exciting as collecting Umbreon or Charizard cards, but Rowlet has been my favourite Pokémon since it was first introduced in Sun & Moon, and I have decided to try and collect all the English released cards. Originally I went online to try and find myself a Rowlet binder to store them in, and I couldn’t find one anywhere!
Then I remembered that a couple of years ago, a good friend bought me a few Rowlet related items from various Pokémon Centers in Japan, and two of those gifts were a deck box and card sleeves featuring Rowlet’s evolution line. Given there are currently 24 Rowlet cards (plus varients) this is absolutely perfect!
These English cards are also quite cheap, outside of a few cards from the Sun & Moon era, which means this is an achevable goal for me. In the future I’m open to obtaining non-english versions of Rowlet cards, although I doubt I will ever be in a position to own every Rowlet card, given that there are some Japanese promos that are super difficult to come by.
I thought i’d share it here though, and see if users have any advice or words of encouragement!
Thats an awesome goal! Rowlet is a pretty adorable starter, and would make any fan happy.
Regarding a binder there are a couple of ideas that wouldnt break the bank. I know @dack@DeadManDriving both laser engrave custom binders, and there are a ton more cool ideas here
Id be happy to see updates on it whenever you have time to share.
I started my Skitty/Delcatty collection for similar reasons and had several from when I was younger. It is fun to see the collection grow. Looking forward to updates!
good choice. Rowlett clips I’ve seen alone make me want to get a hold of the sun/moon anime and watch it.

What a choice! And very cool box! Rowlet is my favourite gen 7 starter! But my heart belongs to Froakie. I had a goal a year ago to collect all English ones like you with Rowlet now and i finished it a month ago. And now I have a new goal to collect EVERY language Froakie! Thank you for the offer! Most of these are going to be easy to find, and quite cheap! I think the biggest challenge will be those that feature Exeggutor, but not an impossible task for sure
If we are extending that to other countries then there’s some Japanese cards that might be tricky. But i’ll cross that bridge if and when I come to it!
@JohtoTimes For Rowlet I typically collect just English, and past a certain price point I won’t buy certain cards, but I love having a small section of my binder dedicated to Rowlet!
Ooh! This is great to see I think I will be fine just having one card of each. I wonder if there are a full list of cards available, as well as their varients? I am currently pulling that information from TCG Collector, but its possible they may not have everything. Can you (or anyone) confirm?
While this is great, it misses quite a few cards and varients off the list. For example, Sun & Moon (9/149) has Normal, Reverse Holo, Cosmos Holo, water Web Holo, and WC Deck 2017 (Samurai Sniper: Kabu Fukase).
Unless i’m missing something of course? It’d be great to confirm exactly how many cards there are to collect so I don’t accidentally miss some.
On a side note, I don’t think Water Web was available in the UK? Can anyone confirm please?
Love it! I actually really like the Rowlett card from Primal Order. Good thing is when you like/love a Pokemon that isn’t as popular, cards are easier to acquire but you just don’t have any people making cool products of them on Etsy or whatever. Looking forward to seeing your progress. If I run into any in other languages, happy to save them for you
Here’s an update on my cards! My friend went digging through his recent cards, and I found my old McDonald’s promo.
I have have three other cards my friend will be handing over to me at some point, as he went to a card show yesterday and found a couple of nice things for me! I’ve already paid for them but I want them in my hands before I show them off here
Of course! That is awesome, thanks for the update, great pickups! I know in your first post, you put it “isn’t as exciting as…” other Pokemon basically but that should be deleted! It’s what makes you excited, not what everyone else likes or the hype trains. Yes, some Pokemon get more love than others and to be honest, I always try to find and enjoy collections and new Pokemon I don’t see every day. Although Charizard is cool looking, I get tired of looking at the same thing over and over. Plus I am bias, I think Zekrom looks so much cooler and would stomp on Charizard lol

I just made a purchase on eBay to obtain another card this evening, after receiving a fairly good offer. I hope it arrives quickly! At the time of writing I have a further four cards coming back to me at some point soon. Hopefully by the end of this week!
Update: Another new card arrived today, along with a free additional Rowlet card!
