I'm sad tape accident

I was tired, and I was using some packaging tape. the tape fell off my hands and onto something that I didn’t notice what it was at first.
I ripped the tape off the object and heard a tear sound.
The wrapper of my 1st edition Chinese base set booster box came off.

How much value did I just loose?

Unfortunately, I would say a substantial amount. People like sealed product. People are also dubious of ‘opened’ items. Chinese being more of a niche, the chances of someone opening and messing withe the packets are obviously slimmer, but people will undoubtedly still have their reservations about purchasing, be it suspicion of weighed packs, resealed packs, what have you.

You could just sell booster packs now. But then again, there’s the suspicion that they are weighed. You might get lucky and find that there are sealed collectors who’d want the trio of artworks.

Maybe I will jsut open them and grade them then :sob: I have experience with selling packs where the buyer receives the item, and returns them. Idon’t know if they were switched or not

How much are they usually worth?

I don’t know. I see one on ebay right now and I will only know after the auction ends

that’s my listing.

You might be able to list yours for BIN right as mine ends. Runner up bidder might go for it?

Or open and grade. you might have the elusive PSA 10 Charizard?

I think regardless of it’s value, a tear in the top undoubtedly effects the price far more than you’d like.

Tape?
The ravages of collateral damage:(

That’s why i dont tape. I always glue!
