Definitely could be. I think steady.collect tagged banet_1965 in his post (editing it) after banet_1965 shared it in his story. Banet wasn’t following steady when steady first posted (is now), so it’s interesting how he knew of steady’s post so quickly.
It’s possible they were both in the same room at that time (suggesting the banet account is real), or the account was fake all along, and nothing changed. Just something else to consider.

I would suggest looking at steady’s most recent stories. I think this is all you need to see to prove these are authentic.

Posting a selfie with Akabane and a signed card only makes things more confusing to me 
Originally people were claiming that all the factual evidence, that CGC and a small group of others have, supporting these cards, could never go public for legal purposes. (I’m assuming to protect Akabame from potential lawsuits with TPCI.)
Doesn’t posting a selfie of the guy, with the cards in question, one of which he personally signed, kind of defeat the purpose of all this hush hush going on? Especially if the account claiming to be him, is going to repost it?
If that’s okay to share publicly, why isn’t everything else okay to share?

I mean you’d either have to accept that Akabane didn’t want people to know that it was his account 7 days ago and he doesn’t care today OR that whoever is faking the account is just doubling down.

The account posted some more prototypes today amongst some other rare Pokémon stuff.
If he is not Akabane, where this guy found these things?
That is what I want to know. And especially why it’s pretending to be Akabane.

This new banet guy is most likely one middleman from Lotus, they’re selling his collection so it makes they have all of this.
By the way the pictures posted today were a compilation of what they were selling privately for months.
