If you made more money, would you spend more on Pokemon?

Yes, kind of. I would spend more but my allocations would be still the same.

Let’s take the hypothetical scenario (with numbers I just made up) that I have 1,500 EUR available per month and half of that is used for basic necessities (rent, food, costs of the car, insurance, …). The other 750 EUR are split between 33% saving/investing, 33% traveling and 33% on hobbies or others (like Pokémon, video games, eating out, …) (again percentages are made up). If I now had 2,000 EUR per month, the 750 EUR basic costs would stay the same and the rest (1,250 EUR) would be spread the same way between the mentioned categories.

I also wouldn’t use the money to buy more cards but rather to reach my collection goals faster.

Considering how much I have sacrificed in spending on my collection already for life things, if I was over some notable humps (i.e. old house successfully fixed up to be rented/sold), then yes – I’d want to spend more on my collection again.

Absolutely. 100%. I’ve been able to purchase more pokemon cards in the last 3 years than I had in the previous 10. All because I finally landed a great job that pays well. Who would’ve thought all I needed was a little motivation (being able to buy more pokemon cards) to finally get my Masters degree and apply for the job lol
