May be no. Because all the interest of pokemon actually starts either from anime, or if your parents too like pokemon.. For me my parents are not pokemon watchers so it’s all from the anime which I used to watch in our telivision. At this age if Pokemon is released I am not sure I will get to know about it in first place as I may not start to watch anime at this age

jokes aside I’ve pretty consistently enjoyed Pokemon for the very balanced and aesthetically pleasing monster designs, so I’d likely still be drawn to the franchise so long as it’s somewhat niche and not like Amazing Digital Circus levels of degenerate fandom-ness

Pokémon is running almost fully on nostalgia for me. I even bought an Analogue Pocket a few months ago so I can play the games while traveling (been raw dogging train and air travel for years now). I mostly play Pokémon Go for the social aspect and shared nostalgia.
If Pokémon would come out now, I would probably give it as much try as I gave to Fortnite; none at all. And shrug it off as something for the kids.

I might be a bit cynical but for very long anything new hasn’t excited me a bit, be it hobbies, movies, music or anything. I find the most joy in things that i know are good and i’ve enjoyed already for a long time
