Hey, everyone, I’m new to this forum and just found out about the Sun & Moon Shining Ho-Oh promo card (#83) today. I read that it was given out with purchases of the Shining Legends Japanese booster boxes. I’m guessing this was only for people that purchased them in store in Japan though. Can anyone confirm? Thank you in advance!
Yes that’s correct. There are fairly many Japanese sellers on eBay though who sell these boxes and the Promo together. It’s not too hard to pick up in general too 
if you purchase the boxes directly from pokemon center you would receive one

Thank you to both of you. =D I’m also relieved that they’ll be adding an English version of it to the upcoming Shining Legends Elite Trainer Box. Shiny Ho-Oh is one of my favorites. It looks great. Good to hear that it’s fairly easy to get in any case.
Yep. Can confirm (: Bought a box last week and got one. While supplies last. Tokyo is out, but I got mine in Kyoto.
