Okay so I found someone selling MINT- many potential GEM MINT non-graded 1st edition english base and shadowless. Includes everything except holos. Seller has literally hundreds of cards, potentially a thousand. All were pulled from packs and immediately placed in protective sleeves. So how is the best way to figure out a price, might be out of my league on this one in terms of price.
Literally spent the last three hours looking through everything with him in a grocery store parking lot and it’s difficult to figure out a price. I was thinking we would go through and figure out all the cards and look them up on sold listings on ebay. Then figure a group discount?
If it’s in person it’s easy, just tell them a number, get their opinion. Honestly, the number doesn’t matter as long as it’s lower than you’re willing to pay, people won’t get insulted in person as easy as online. If they accept you’re good, if not ask them what they think it’s worth. If they say a number you’re willing to accept you’re good, if not look over the cards again and tell them a final offer. If they accept you’re good, if not tell them thank you for their time and start walking away. If they call you back you’re good, if not there’s no deal to be made.
This come from someone with extensive sales experience, eBay, and being the top sales associate in a commission based sales environment.
Thanks for the info! Yea he was very unsure of what he wanted and needed to do more research on the cards before selling them. He said he will look up ebay completed listing prices to gauge but it only made him more confused as some are a few dollars and some are $50+. I think he just needs to figure out a price. He doesn’t like them and wants to sell them asap. I’ll just have to see what he comes up with and do what you’re saying.
Ohhh boy I turned off all news and social media because I was gonna watch the game after I finish work! Didn’t think the game was gonna be revealed here lol that’s never happened before… spewing!
