I’m in the process of transferring my master sets from the old ex series into premium ultra pro binders to get away from the 3 rings that I had them in before. I managed to accidentally damage a couple of holos a few months ago and I figured enough is enough.
The average set has around 110ish cards, and I have been placing the reverse holos on the back side of each page, so after all print variations and everything I’m only using 12 or 13 pages of a 20 page binder. That’s my problem. It just feels a little silly considering that I’m spending between $20 and $25 per binder, and there’s just all this empty space in the back.
I want each set to have its own binder, I know that for sure. My question is, how do I fill the rest of the binder? Do I go after complete sets of the Japanese cards as well? Maybe just pursue additional copies of holos and ultra rares in each set to fill the pages? I’m open to suggestions!
That’s one of the reasons I stayed away from the Ultra Pro binder solution (that and they don’t allow me to see the backs of the cards).
That being said I think you have the right idea. Put in extra cards, variants, promos from that sets line, city/ state/ regional cards, staff cards, league cards etc. Kind of depends what you want to collect I suppose. But that’s what I’d be after.
Yeah I consider the alternate prints a part of a true master set so I do already have all of those. I’m looking for something else other than those. Most sets have less than 20. Maybe just put Pop series 1 with Ruby and Sapphire, Pop Series 2 with Sandstorm etc.?
