So i bought some expensive cards. The package it hasn’t moved for over a month. Contacts at post office say its probably lost. Seller claims insurance and initiates refund. I’m happy to ya know get my money back and i want to use it to buy replacements for the missing cards. However there is a chance the package somehow miraculously gets to me. Then i would have two copies of the same cards which is alot of money. I dont want to hold the money just in case it shows up but i dont want to buy two of the same cards lol. What would you do any advice would be helpful.
If the seller is initiating a refund then go through with the refund. If the package somehow makes its way to you eventually, contact the seller and send the cards back.

A package being stuck for a month does not necessarily mean it’s lost. We’re in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, nothing is working as it should be. If you can be patient, I would suggest waiting a little longer. A good portion of my packages I’ve sent over the last 5 months have experienced delays, with one package floating around for 3 whole months before arriving (yes, really).
Saying that, if the seller is insistent on a refund then that’s up to him/her. Just contact them if the cards ever arrive and ask if they’d like them returned or paid for again.

By all means, yes, but within the time frame of being refunded or opening up a case (if ebay)as said, if they do arrive, have the seller pay to send them back

If it was international shipping, it may not be lost. I did a trade for a jungle pack in march that didn’t come till late june.

It is an international package. I also agree that its probably just stuck at customs. I am just getting that fear of prices going up past what i paid for the cards if i wait for this package. Lets say it does end up being lost while the prices on the cards keeps going up. When it has officially been lost i would have my money back but the cards would be more expensive to replace at this point. Its pretty much that fear that is making me think should i buy replacements while the cards are still close to what i paid for 
i just don’t want to lose on the last cards to complete my set

I paid around 4k for two slabbed cards which is what they are going for right now 
but its the pop im worried more about
