Reading through this thread pretty much confirms that my biggest mistake in Pokemon was to leave hobby after Expedition, just before new generation that brought great games and tcg products.
At least I’ve been able to experience most of the good stuff as an adult, japanese gold stars were first interest and I quickly expanded to english/japanese set collecting which has been amazing. Certain reverse holo patterns are simply unmatched, EX Deoxys is great example.
The way I see things many people consider EX Sandstorm Wailord ex having legendary reputation due to high hp amount, top 5 potential for sure.

Here’s something pretty cool. This charizard in my alpha sapphire I obtained from pokemon stadium 1. Few years ago, I finally got around to defeating the gym leader castle and stadium mode (round 1). Was lucky enough to receive a chamander as the gift pokemon into my copy of red via the transfer pak. Since my starter was already charizard, sent him over to silver. Couple rounds of the elite four evolved him into charizard. Earlier this year, I tried out this homebrew to transfer between gen 2 and 3 using a gbc, gba, & link cable. It’s pretty awesome and helps with obtaining certain pokemon in gen 3 games.
Anyways, his journey continued from firered > soulsilver > B2 > and finally AS where he can now mega evolve…
