Hey guys I’m getting ready for my 1st submission and I just got my ultra pro semi-rigid card holders in to send off to psa. But here is the thing…when i take the ultra pro i first put my fingers in to stretch it out for the card, then i took a card I don’t care about and tried to slip it in to see how it would fit and OMG i cant get it in! Now i have been able to stretch them out enough with a tool i have to be able for me to easily put a card in it without damaging it but is this how its supposed to be? How could it possibly be that difficult that you actually have to press down on the card possibly bending it and causing whitening to be able to get these things in?? I’m shocked. Do you guys have a special trick you do?
Put your thumb on one side and your middle finger, ring finger, and pinky on the other side. Then use your pointer finger to pull open the card saver while squeezing on the cardsaver a little on each side. Then the cards slide right in without using anything but your hands.
I tried that and the ruler thing ppl are suggesting but its still really difficult. So what i have been doing is heating them up with a heat gun so i can stretch them. Then i have no problem fitting the cards in but it is pretty stretched lol i just cant believe how much difficulty i am having. They seem to be defective or something because trust me there is no way you are getting a card in there with just your fingers.
Not the Card Saver 2’s, the Card Saver 1’s. This problem is predominant with Card saver II and Ultra pro semi-rigid which are a very tight fit and difficult to insert the cards.
The Ultra Pro and Card Saver 2’s are 3"x4". The Card Saver 1’s add another 7/8th (up to 3-7/8ths x 4-7/8ths)
The small ultra pros are the worst and just begging for a card to be damaged. Never had an issue with either card saver version or the regular sized ultra pros.
I think the small ones are only meant for mini sports cards…
