Help me complete my set of Kecleon Waps

I think there are 6 but possibly 7 colours of Holo waps. I think I’m missing a red kecleon wap. But it’s close to impossible to tell with pictures online. Different lighting conditions make orange look like red. Holo waps are waps that have a shiny sticker. Solid colour and transparent colour waps have plain stickers. And these 3 different types only come in certain colours/styles.

My question is to anyone who has some of these holo waps, do you have proof that a red wap exists with a holo sticker?

I can’t say anything definitive for Kecleon, but I have the following Laser Waps for Seviper in my collection right now:

And as you can see above, Seviper also has two different versions overall: one full holo, like your Kecleon based on your picture, and one where just the background is holo, but Seviper itself is not.

Also, I think not all colors are available for all Pokémon, since I’ve for example never seen any of the different transparent ones for Seviper, nor the regular light purple or red ones. There are also a lot of minor color differences, based on this picture:

I’m also still not sure whether my two green Seviper are two slightly different colors, or one is just slightly sun-damaged causing the minor color difference..

PS: I’ve looked at my duplicated Laser Waps and I’ve unfortunately got a yellow Kecleon, which you already have.

So assuming Kecleon is in the same set as Seviper: I don’t think red (nor light purple) exists, but it does seem like you’re missing a dark orange, which is kinda in between orange and red in terms of hue.

Hope that helps. If you come across any full holo purple or dark orange Seviper in your search for the Kecleon, lmk please. I will also keep an eye out for a dark orange Kecleon next time I search for these.

Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to find a lot of information about these. I have come across this website explaining them and showing a full set. And although it does explain about Waps vs Laser Waps vs P’tit Lious, it doesn’t go into detail about all the non-holo, full holo, and partial holo variants, nor all the color versions. It only gives some example colors with ‘etc.’..:

Should I bring a bucket and a mop?

Quuador,
Thank you for the wonderful response. Seeing that darker orange/red Seviper Laser Wap is exactly what I wanted to see. Assuming that each Laser Wap comes in 7 different styles, then it proves that I’m missing a dark orange Kecleon Wap.

Some information from this CandyEvie video below (https://youtu.be/jagUt6gu3Yc):

She seems to suggest that there are 2 types of Waps - Normal and Laser Waps. The normal ones come in 2 styles - solid colour and transparent/glittery. Laser Waps come in 1 style - glow in the dark. Then each of the styles come in 7 colours as you can see:

What’s particularly interesting is that there’s no mention of Laser Waps where the pokemon is not holo but the background is. Does that mean you have some misprints? or maybe the holo layer on the pokemon is thinner and has worn off? or it’s been sunbleached? The informational insert doesn’t look like it has duplicates of pokemon so they should only really come in their defined styles I would have thought.

Finally, this is probably a dark orange seviper on european ebay: *SEVIPER * WAPS POKEMON Advanced Panini laser PMCE collector 2003 WAP KRAKS | eBay UK but as you can see, lighting conditions make it hard to tell.

PS. Thanks for telling me about the P’tit Louis ones too. Of course there’s more obscure versions of everything. These are even harder to find online. I wonder if they did Kecleon ones?

Thanks for this. I indeed knew about Normal vs Laser Waps, but I didn’t knew the colors were 7 each spread out like that. I kinda had the feeling it was, since I hadn’t seen any of the other colors for Laser Waps, but it’s good to have confirmation.

I think one of the two versions are indeed misprints. Tbh, I think it was intended for the Pokémon to be non-holo and just the background holo, but many of the Laser Waps got misprinted as full holos instead. Kinda like holo bleeds on TCG cards. With the English set Secret Wonders, Holofoil Rare cards are much easier to find with holo bleed than without. I feel like that’s also the case for these Laser Waps, even though I do have all seven Seviper colors with non-holo Seviper, and am missing two full holo versions. :person_shrugging:

I have seen that listing before. Although the pictures make it hard to know for sure, I think it’s the version with non-holo Seviper and holo background, which I already have. I’m only missing the full holo versions for purple and dark orange.

The P’tit Louis set was very small. Only 10 of them were in the set, and Kecleon wasn’t part of it. Here is the full set for reference.
I have no idea in how many colors these were made. I see five different colors in that PDF (neon-yellow; red; lilac; orange; light purple), and have a blue Seviper myself, and have also seen a flat yellow one before, so perhaps those are the 7 colors for those. Or maybe that flat yellow one I saw was actually just the same neon-yellow I already have, and it has the same seven colors as the regular Waps, which means green would be the seventh color I have yet to see.
They’re indeed hard to find, though. I’m already happy I have these three in my Seviper collection, even if my blue one is in pretty bad condition.

Just reading through this I’m happy that Nidoking does not have any waps !
I live in France though so if needed I can middleman items  (I recommend you check on Vinted and Leboncoin for those)

I do check Vinted semi-regularly for Waps and Kraks, as well as TodoColeccion and Wallapop, which are Spanish marketplaces. I hadn’t heard of Leboncoin before though, so will check those out tonight after work.

Leboncoin is like Mercari I would say, it’s fully entirely french, much less international/ european than Vinted. for Waps, as French people don’t really collect non-tcg, you can probably find some good deals
