Follow up question: I’m thinking about getting my Imakuni signature authenticated. I’m debating whether I do auto authentication only vs grading the condition and auto authentication. The card is probably a PSA 6-7, so not sure if grading the condition helps/hurts if it’s only a PSA 6. Would love to get people’s opinions. I have not decided if I will sell it, but its definitely a possibility, so I want to pick the best path for maximizing the value. Thanks! ---

Probably Auto auth, as it wouldn’t exactly be worth it to grade unless it’s getting a 8,9, or 10. ---

Recently all of my autos I have just been getting authenticated and not grading the card, but that is mainly because I don’t intend to resell any of them, so I don’t really care what the card grade is (and I’ve never understood grading the autograph itself for Pokemon cards), plus I don’t really want to distract away from the value the card provides for me personally. If you actually might sell it then a card condition appraisal is probably wise.
