2 times! One as a kid, then again when on memory lane. The kid story is not as good and has no detail, while the adult occasion is a better story but had good odds since it was a box. As a kid I was so fortunate to have shadowless out on the east coast. My first cards were shadowless and I would beg mom to take me to this little sundries shop reeking of incense and various aromas of wood and flora. Like a treasure shop or sorts, random base boxes at the counter and no other sets even in later months/year. I had pulled many holos, but shadowless charizard was one of ‘em! It was incredible but blastoise was my fav 😊. Funnily enough my [OP](https://www.elitefourum.com/t/brendantheclayboys-collection-slow-collection-complete-part-3-3-and-all-my-team-and-others-1-29-24/29803) from my collection thread shares the story of my adult pull that I’ll just leave there to read. Pretty amazing story, it being the last pack! Edit: also funny this was 2013 same year as ftw below. Was a good year to take a ride with it being one minumum wage paycheck for a box 🕶 --- _[View the full topic](https://www.elitefourum.com/t/have-you-pulled-base-set-charizard-from-a-pack/47547)._
