I haven’t found a single person who has said that CGC upcharged them for their submission, i.e. if you submit a $1,000 card in a bulk submission which is supposed to only be for cards up to $100. I’ve read that people submitted $400 cards in bulk and didn’t get an upcharge… So have any of you experienced this? If so, what were the numbers?

Thanks in advance

I’ve been upcharged once from standard to express for one card

What did you put as the declared value vs what did they say the value was?

I sent in a legendary collection reverse charizard PSA 8 to get crossgraded. I declared it as $1000 (market price at the time), they didn’t give me a figure on what they valued it at. To this day, I don’t know how the deducted the $9.50 upcharge, fees were paid as soon as they received them

@alienlien So they didn’t actually charge you for it?

not that I know of at least, I checked my bank balance over two weeks. No deductions

hahaha nice, the first person that I’ve found that was upcharged and they weren’t actually charged for it. 2 ez

I was up charged on two shadowless charizards that graded a 6 and the other a 7.

It was through Ludkins I paid them the up charge but no way to know if CGC ever billed ludkins for it.

What grade was the card and did they upgrade it?

PSA 8 and upgraded to a CGC 9.5

Out of curiosity in your opinion @alienlien,is the card an 8 or 9.5? The upgrade is great if you’re selling. If you’re collecting and think your getting a 9.5 and the card is only an 8, Well that would suck… That’s s why i am unsure if I would buy a CGC card.

From my experience with CGC it seems like they grade pretty consistently. They seem to grade fair. I wouldn’t be worried about a weak grade with them.

I think it’s a 9.5. The only reason I crossgraded was because I thought PSA did me dirty on a few cards.

Would you share the card with us?

Looks like a PSA 9 to me. I am a bit surprised by the CGC 9.5 as I thought it was equivalent to PSA 10.

To be fair PSA did damage the back left corner. I don’t have any pictures beforehand, so it’s hearsay.

Yikes. Maybe CGC isn’t so bad if you’re a seller.

So if I understand correctly, you did NOT crack the card out? Submitted in the psa case?
