For a 7 yes, I noticed higher grades are getting back and beyond. I am not complaining, my BGS 8.5 with as high as sub grades as possible without being a 9 ran me 7500ish a year ago, last two did 20-22? with weaker subs. Life in Rayray land still lala lol

They’ll come down a little eventually, Vert. You’re young, just focus on your progress as an individual and things will fall into place if you work towards your future with a goal in mind.
I wouldn’t recommend tunneling on a damaged copy if you can find patience. Assuming they’ll come down eventually (they will, at some point), the weaker copies are always the first to lose desirability.
I don’t want to speak to my GS offers publicly as I’ve accepted two, but the market is extremely hot for them right now. However, I’ve found most buyers already have a surplus of them.
In my opinion, the market for them recently has been centered around building a position, rather than for collection purposes. There’s an immense sense of FOMO in the hobby right now, with many scared that copies will be hoarded by a small group of individuals, which is proving to be true (for 10s).

do you like the other shiny rays? They all look nice to me, obv the deoxys one is the best but I think some of the others are a fraction of the cost

Lowballed so he’s probably not paying market like you’re insinuating. Also there’s a PSA 9 for $65k and 8 for $35k sitting on eBay for at least a week now, this guy not interested in scooping them up “ASAP”? If the market is so confident, why hasn’t anyone auctioned a 9 since the price hike to $50k+?

A PSA 9 was barely 25K a year ago… I would say the market has been pretty hot for Rayquaza GS right now…
You don’t need a nobody from an online nerd forum to tell you that. Just go to any card show near you with a GS Ray and see how many people will try to buy it off of ya…

I agree with Slade!! I have a PSA 9 Gold Star Rayquaza and was offered very recently $50,000 for it. However I know it is near impossible to get more than PSA 8 for the card even pack fresh
and as time goes on the PSA 9’s will become scarcer and more rare. To me it is a card that still has a lot of room to grow in value in coming 3-5 yrs and feel its intrinsic value is close to 100 K in PSA 9. Hence, declined the offer. It is the Rayquaza holy grail card to have for Rayquaza collectors after all!!
