I still have one package left to ship, which contains what I would say is some of the best stuff I’ve bought over the past two months. It should arrive next week, since I don’t want to start the shipping process in the middle of the weekend.
These are some promos I got along with everything else. They are decently protected, since I don’t like the idea of using regular top loaders or semi rigids because i didn’t want to mess with the cellophane since it won’t fit entirely in a semi rigid. Also keeping them in these protectors means I don’t have to be as careful when handling them.
I recently picked up the Japanese Neo Genesis Premium Files 2 and 3 along with their original retail display boxes, and while I absolutely love the look of both, handling them in person revealed a massive difference in build quality. The material used for the File 1 and 2 displays is incredibly thin and fragile, making them highly prone to bowing, sagging, and edge wear over time. It’s clear they learned their lesson by the time they produced File 3, opting for a much thicker, sturdier cardboard that holds its shape beautifully.
Because of that structural weakness, my File 2 box has some noticeable wear on the edges, so I am planning on restoring it by adding some acid free card stock to the interior to act as a support system against future pressure. I’m still on the fence about how I will do it. Should I use a safe adhesive to permanently glue the reinforcement to the inner walls to stiffen the box, or a method that supports without using any glue at all? Maybe use a totally different product to use as the interior reinforcement. I’d love to hear some thoughts or better ideas.

It has been about two months since my last post where I mentioned I’d be sharing my big purchases. Personal life happened, my dog, who is 13, got sick and I had to take him to the vet. That took up so much of my time, focus, and energy that I completely forgot about posting here, and to be completely honest, I just didn’t have the mental energy for it. One of many posts to come.
Got the McDonald’s Chikorita on the big package that i mentioned in my earlier post. I have to say that it has a really good swirl and sphere on the lief.
Here is the Pikachu from the 2002 McDonald’s packs. One of my all time favorite sets ever. I really like the artwork. I have more stuff to scan but i am just so lazy since i have a lot going on and because my place is a mess right now.
The remaining 2 slabs i wanted to share from the 2002 McDonald’s set. I think i got the main cards i wanted and will slowly get the rest (not sure yet). The Squirtle was the one i wanted the most and since the other 3 slabs were in the same auction i decided to buy them at the same time. Did cost me a decent amount but i think it was worth it. The Squirtle has a swirl on the left side and another half swirl on the right side. It’s a beautiful card with some nice swirls if i do say so myself.
Don’t have as much free time as before so i will only share the remaining stuff on the upcoming weekends. I would say the other items i will share later on are on par or even better.
Here we have PokePark another small set i enjoy that came from a file. I think after coming back to the hobby and not buying any English product due to the scalper issues i went all in on JP.
Here we have the Pikachu from the PokePark Forest file. I really like the artwork it looks like a chibi version of Pikachu. I know I say it all the time, but I mainly buy cards for their art, and I tend to gravitate toward simpler, cleaner art styles. Sometimes there is a lot going on which is not bad depending on how it’s done but simple is usually my preference.
You’ll notice the slab I’m sharing has the cert number and barcode removed. I’m still debating whether or not I should block them out when posting online, so please let me know what you think about this since i am still debating regarding this topic.
