Just finished talking to a Gamestop manager. Said you’ll need a account with the store to buy Pokemon stuff and they’ll be putting limits on products. This is supposed to stop different family members from buying multiples.
Wild times.

I’m surprised to see GameStop charging above MSRP now. My local store had Chilling Reign ETBs priced at 80$ when I tried to grab the Illustration Contest promos yesterday.
I think the real problem is the shit pull rates.
How much supply do we really need? They are printing record amounts ever year and it’s still not enough?
Higher pull rates, cheaper cards and then the antisocial neckbeards will jump to a different product to scalp.
This news makes business sense but it’s yet another win for those with no job or works second/third shifts. Now that I can’t preorder in store after work or online, I stand no chance of getting anything from GameStop. But I get it, if I was the CEO of GameStop and only cared about growing sales for shareholders I’d do the same thing
With gamestop having more stock and people being restricted Im calling it now that gamestops will be broken into for stock more often. I love the change, but I hope they have the foresight to deal with the contingencies. We see it happen with LCS’s all the time.
Id wager the problem also lies with the money theyve been making. Seeing how TPCI is making so much more money now Id like to think theyre trying to figure out a way to make just as much or more, even factoring in all of the bad actors that give their money to the company. If we flood the market then thats cool for all of us collectors, but theyll lose so many “customers”, and they probably wouldnt like that.
Regarding current Journey Together preorders.
