Seaking (Aquapolis) might be connected with Golduck (Aquapolis) due to both of them have the exact same lighthouse & vegetation … just that they’re in different hours and different perspectives …
24th of December is here, and new cards in my album to share with you guys!
today I prepared a double page to share, with some eeveelutions
Page N. 16 - basic eevees and their counterparts, absolutely amazing SWSH black star promo cards (find the impostor )
Page N.17 continues with some of the most amazing connected artwork of pokemon TCG! First we have Japanese T-Promos Jolteon, Flareon and Vaporeon, that you could get only within Pokémon Card Trainers magazine. More SWSH blackstar promos, Perrin and Growlithe from TWM to fill the empty spot (cough), and of course for their amazing connected art and finally! The new Chinese Gem Pack Vol. 2 cards, beautiful landscape with 3 eeveelutions and basic evee, making it so far only Chinese language exclusive connected artwork! And for the sake of my wallet, I hope they won’t be released in English language
Hi! I’ve been checking out this page and it’s amazing—I really love this kind of cards. While looking at random cards, I came across these two, and I think they’re connected. It seems like the lighthouse in the background is the same in both cards (I don’t know the location, I don’t play the video games).
I believe S&V cards especially in the early sets used a lot of locations from the games as backgrounds, would be cool to see if someone made a collection about those connections
Also, based on the confetti, I actually think a bunch of the Furious Fists arts are connected in some kind of fighting tournament, including the two above:
PS: @joponnes Would you mind adding the Pokémon names to the main post eventually when you have some time? It’s easier to check if something is already there or not with a short Ctrl+F, rather than scrolling through hundreds of pictures.
Also, this one isn’t connected (different set and different artist), but just thought it was a weird coincidence to have three Makuhita in both artworks.
I’ve seen this poster before but for the first time I noticed that it’s not a composite but rather the original illustration. Meaning the neo Johto beasts belong to a connected art. It’s hard to see the original background with the Holo but the background from the poster is visible in the cards as well.
Page N.10 contains some legends! Neo Revelation birds, Lugia and Skarmory flying around the mighty Ho-oh(skarmory card should be upside down for better effect :D), another Neo Revelation legends, Entei, Suicune and Raikou running around the old temple together. From new Mega series we have Ninjask and Shedinja IRs, from within deeps of forest up to high sunny sky. And finally, the most epic rivalry of all time, Tam Magma’s Groudon VS Team Aqua’s Kyogre from Double Crisis, continuing with their fight in the last Celebrations set.
Page N. 11 is Tepig page with SWSH epic fight Charizard vs Mewtwo, Legendary Treasures story telling about Trubbish from garbage onto beautiful ocean and Tepig with it’s family growing up amazing story connections. Another Tepig fighting Pignite and knocking him out and one of my favourite two cards connection, pignite vs Tyranitar eating contest
@Quuador yeah i indeed have the whole furious fists scene in my wants after i saw the whole connection in bulbapedia also that makuhita connection is definitely enough for me to get it, thanks for the hint! And yes, it’s possible to add the names in the op but not anytime soon as i’m barely able to maintain the updates in my article type of threads, but it’s a good idea and perhaps people posting their own connections here could add the names too so they would appear in the searches too even if i don’t add them in the op?
@banks that’s an interesting one! Cool that they left the poster background but still made the pokemon whole without the overlapping parts of each others or the text
There’s a new card coming from Nihil Zero (M3) that connects to the Saboteri set—Shinx!
Hard to tell where it connects but I’m guessing it will be a 3x3 connected art work as it doesn’t directly connect to any of the other cards already out. Maybe Shinx is looking up toward Aipom maybe?
BREAKthrough is a really interesting set—many of the cards I’ve seen in this post belong to that set, which I love. Based on a connection between Pokémon from the same set (see the example of Ivysaur with Bidoof, Numel and Spinarak in the Pokémon GO set)
You could say something similar happens with the cards of Floette with Meloetta and Snubbull, since these cards also belong to the same set (BREAKthrough).
A similar case can be seen with the Secret Rare Mewtwo EX cards from this set, since the Pokémon that appear in the background of each card are also part of the same set (BKT).
You could debate how much these can really be called “Connected Artwork”. Personally, I think they’re connected enough to be worth collecting, but I get that for some people it might not be worth it.
I like those! I think i won’t add all of them in my own collection but you have excellent eye with the details, love the berry theme continuing with dedenne tho so that one i will definitely add!
