I hope I’m in the right place…
So I’ve recently decided to dip into my Pokemon collection to try and sell. I’ve kept pretty good care of my cards since collecting as a child, albeit not perfectly but I’m pretty sure some of these cards are pristine (we’ll see lol). I’ve only sent cards in for grading once so far (It was a Derek Jeter rookie card ; go figure) so I get the process. But as I’m preparing and choosing what to send off, I’m looking around on ebay and these cards are selling for a lot. I’ve got at least like 10 cards I want to send off for grading, and its a mix of shadowless, 1st ed shadowless, 1st ed holo bases etc. I’ve never sold collector’s items with high values that are as high as these, so I’m trying to prepare myself as best as possible if some of these cards come back as 10’s. As such, I am a collector at heart, and while I want to make as much as possible on my collection I also want to make sure the people purchasing are satisfied and content with their shinies.

I’m in the US. For Ebay/paypal…I’ve been reading that the tax threshold amount (before paypal sends you a form for your taxes) is 20,000 USD in sales over one calendar year. But then it also says “200 sales”, or rather the criteria states it needs to be both…? So which is it? 20k / or 200 sales? or 20k AND 200 Sales and then they hand you your form to report your earnings to the IRS?

I’m not too savy with paypal, even though I’ve been using it for over a decade for normal stuff… but are there any footfalls I should look out for before I embark on this?

As far as shipping is concerned, is there a community standard when it comes to shipping PSA cards? Insurance? etc. For Jeter I just kinda wrapped in bubble wrap and put it in a mailer. Do people just put them between cardboard and rubber band it / call it a day?

Long story short… but back in like 2011 I found three 1st Edition Base Set Packs in a vending machine. The plot twist is they were the French base set, but regardless… they yielded me a 1st Ed. Holo Chansey. And two electrodes. They immediately went into sleeves/toploaders and haven’t seen the light of day since, so I’m pretty sure they’re up in there in terms of grading. For these in particular… should I try and sell internationally through Ebay france?
4a. Would I get them graded by PSA or do I try and get them graded by what they use in the EU? (Is it PCA?)
4b. I’ve never sold internationally on ebay. If I do all of the above, what do I need to know to sell these guys?
