May not be the right place to ask this question. But is anyone familiar with Nintendo 3ds authentication or how to tell? I want to buy this exclusive Pokémon one but am worried about a re-shell. Any tips to look out for?

Not a 3DS expert, but I have bought my share of gameboy colours which all have manufacturers labels on the back and item numbers etc. there are a lot of after market shells and most of them either miss this off entirely or gets some details wrong. Try and get more photos of the box and the console if you can.

With the box and sealed manual, I’d say it looks legit! You can also compare with old reddit post for Charizard 3ds XL

edit: @tfgh is definitely right about the second pic, barcode doesn’t match and the first gold stripe doesn’t line up with the screw

however the second picture is a different console as the bar codes don’t match. That is a bit of a red flag to me.

Yes, I was about to post this. My gut feeling says it’s a legit original case, but the reused picture it’s suspicious.
