Noooooo now that card is well and truly ruined for me just like someone pointed out to me that the umbreon’s tail on the Umbreon V where it’s sitting on top of the wall looks like their cat in the litterbox and now that one is ruined too

I love the story telling in this set through their choice of pokemon. They’ve illustrated what a run of pokemon gold would look like through the Pokemon they chose to illustrate.

1. Hibiki/Ethan chose cyndaquil as his starter at Professor elm’s lab.
2. Hatched a Pichu from the mysterious egg he got after meeting professor oak.
3. Got the pure bell and summoned ho-oh to catch it!

They did the same for misty, love seeing her Staryu and starmie in her iconic gym.

I’m the most excited for ogerpon forms and hydrapple getting regular cards + that Ayako Ozaki connecting art. Regarding secret rares, i’ll probably pick cards like electrike and psyduck at some point but more i’m just waiting for the potential of some of the individual cards in the team rocket set

All 3 you posted are much better than the Electrike which is just so incredibly boring.

From there not being enough variety to the nothing pose and it being Electrike, an ugly Pokemon to begin with, it’s a waste really.
