PSA: SV8 was revealed on the first day of Champions League this weekend.

Correct me if I’m wrong. Usually if the Togepi line was announced like this instance, that typically means no AR for that line in this set, because it likely would have been revealed alongside the base cards?
That used to be a trend, this year has shown it doesn’t rule anything out

So this coming magneton, will it be £20+ right out of the gate and stay that high (and higher) like triplet beat magikarp? I assume the only reason magikarp is so high is because of the Kanda illustration, I’m not sure what the other reason would be since it’s just an AR
paldea evolved has 36 ARs. i don’t remember the exact odds, but i want to say it’s something like 8-12 boxes, maybe more, on average to pull one
this will be in every etb
i expect it to be maybe $5 at launch, probably dropping to around $1-$2

the ability is pretty strong (blocks effects of and damage from attacks by tera pokemon). i think there is a good chance it will get something. lets hope

1 of 12 AR in a to-be-mass-printed main expansion, it will be extremely abundant and unlikely to stay above $5 even if it’s somehow playable. The EN ETB promo version being the possible cheaper option will make it hard to price-compete. Kanda’s phenomenon isn’t around drawing AR/SAR, it’s AR/SAR of very popular chase Pokémon

- This Pecharunt card is Shrouded Fable’s 3-pack blister promo, which also has an IR for the Shrouded Fable ETB. Due to Surging Spark’s set description of 23 IR (+ IR Magneton), it’s possible that AR Pecharunt in JP is moved to Terastal Festival. This opens up a theory that the High Class Pack set reprints cards up to and including SV8 Super Electric Breaker
