I think for me I won’t be able to fully form an opinion on these until I see them person. Right now I don’t think any of them come my close to their Evolving Skies counterparts, but I’m open to the idea that they could pop more in hand! I hope that’s the case because right now they just feel a bit busy to me and I feel like the Stellar gimmick overwhelms the actual Pokemon.

Its overall theme is also much more abstract, instead of the interactive daily life backgrounds we’re used to throughout SWSH and SV. I bet, once all is revealed, if you put 27 SAR Pokémon into 3x3 binder pages it will form a pleasantly consistent tapestry

I think that’s fair and you are probably right! My brain is definitely not one of the best out there when it comes to processing abstract art (probably the same reason why I don’t like Komiya as much as some), but I do appreciate set identity and consistency and at the very least there is more of it with this set, if only because there are so many Eeveeloutions! Haha

Stained-Glassbreon is so gorgeous! I absolutely love the more abstract designs. I thought I’d like the Sylveon the most, as I did with ES, but WOW is that Umbreon beautiful!

They are different. Currently they feel like Rainbow Rare/Break cards. We will see how they look in person and as a set. My favs are the Eevee and yes Umbreon, but I’m in my dark phase.

I thoroughly enjoy the work you people do for staying on top of new releases. You are often quicker than Pokebeach or Pokeguardian.
Also like the specualtion on what cards may be in the set based on what was revealed so far and the set numbering.
